Dr Mohamed Ariff Ameedeen is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Universiti Malaysia Pahang, a public university in Malaysia as well as an Associate Professor in Faculty of Computing. He has been serving in Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) for the past 15 years, and he is also an alumni of UMP having completed his first degree in Computer Systems and Network. He continued his studies in University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, pursuing his Ph.D in Computer Science. Throughout his time in UMP, he has held various positions including Director of IBM Centre of Excellence where he worked to bridge the gap between university and industries. He is currently designing and executing a Digital Transformation and Smart Campus solution for Universiti Malaysia Pahang as well as embarking on a Data Driven decision making journey there.
