Ts. Dr. Ahmad Khalid bin Md Khairi is currently serving as the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer (CTIO) at Uzma Berhad, a leading Malaysian company specializing in oil and gas services, energy suatainable solutions, and digital space technologies. With over two decades of diverse experience in engineering, marketing, and technology leadership, Dr. Ahmad Khalid plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and digital transformation across Uzma’s operations, especially in the company’s push toward new energy, decarbonization and digitalization initiatives including in the space economy. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, one of the top Ivy League institutions in the United States. Furthering his education in the business and management realm, he earned both an Master and a Doctorate from Universiti Utara Malaysia. Dr. Ahmad Khalid began his career in the mid-1990s as a Test Engineer at Motorola, where he gained hands-on technical experience. He later transitioned into the marketing, at Agilent Technologies and Broadcom. His work during this time focused on the marketing and strategic deployment of high-tech semiconductor and communication products. Later he joined MIMOS Berhad, Malaysia’s national applied R&D center, where he served as Senior Manager of Technology Venture. There, he was deeply involved in commercializing emerging technologies and working on national digital initiatives. In his current role as CTIO at Uzma, Dr. Ahmad Khalid leads the charge in identifying and implementing cutting-edge, commercially viable technologies that align with Uzma’s sustainability, digitalization and growth goals.
