Group Director, IT, Bridge International Academies Foundation
Steve Mang’eni is the Group Director for Information Technology at Bridge International Academies, based in Nairobi. With over 20 years of diverse IT experience, he has built a career spanning IT leadership, IT lecturing, and key leadership roles in both corporate and non-governmental organizations. He has served as an Asset Tracking Manager at G4S and as a Deputy Director in an a leading NGO, where he led IT strategy initiatives. At Bridge International Academies, Steve oversees the comprehensive IT function and strategy for community schools in Kenya, Uganda, Lagos (Nigeria), and Andhra Pradesh (India). One of his proudest achievements is managing mobile technology deployments for over 440 schools in Kenya and 66 in Uganda, ensuring that teachers and learners access latest quality learning content. Additionally, he has previously collaborated with the Government of Kenya to establish one of the first converged Data centers and integrated systems for managing the HIV and STI testing program, significantly enhancing public health responses. Steve has also implemented numerous Infrastructure, ERP and CRM projects and designed a state-of-the-art control room for a security company to efficiently manage emergency incidents. His strategic vision and commitment to digital innovation continue to drive impactful change in education.
