Roger Adaya is an Information Technology leader with 27 years of professional experience, including over two decades in the hospitality industry with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. He currently serves as Area Information Technology Manager based in Makati, Philippines, where he oversees strategic IT operations, governance, and digital initiatives across multiple properties.
Throughout his career, Roger has managed diverse technology portfolios covering infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, systems integration, IT governance, and digital transformation. His approach consistently aligns with corporate HQ policies and global standards while adapting to current market trends and emerging technologies that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen security posture, and elevate guest experience.
He has completed several project management courses, which have strengthened his ability to lead complex, multi-property IT projects and cross-functional initiatives. These formal trainings, combined with extensive hands-on experience, enable him to effectively collaborate with executive leadership, operations, finance, sales and marketing, and external technology partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
Roger has also undertaken multiple international IT task force and audit assignments across Europe and Asia, supporting hotel openings, system implementations, compliance audits, and operational transitions. These engagements reinforced his expertise in risk management, stakeholder coordination, and executing technology strategies in dynamic hospitality environments.
He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and previously served as Data Protection Officer, reflecting his strong commitment to IT governance, information security, regulatory compliance, and brand protection.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Roger is actively engaged in community leadership and currently serves as President of the Rotary Club of Alitagtag Premier (Rotary Year 2024–2025), where he champions initiatives that promote fellowship, leadership development, and community empowerment.
