Rini Laskar was the Head of Transformation and Governance in Technology for RAKBANK. She studied at the University of Warwick then forged a career as a management consultant working in locations such as Dubai, Singapore and the US. She has been a Director at Citibank and a Director at UBS in Investment Banking Technology and has led some of the most high profile end user technology initiatives in the organisation including Cloud Transformation; migrating to Azure, Artificial Intelligence and Biometric Authentication. In 2019 she named as one of the most inspirational women in the City of London by Brummell magazine and contributes to her local community as a board member of BritBangla. She is Co-Chair member of the BMAE diversity committee at UBS and has also been nominated as one of the top 100 muslim women under Baroness Uddin’s ‘Change the script’ initiative. In the UAE she was on of the Top Women in Power & Analytics in 2025. She is passionate about increasing the diversity of women in the technology and finance industry and instill in others the confidence to achieve their aims in the face of adversity and cultural challenges.
