Omer Yildirim is a technology executive with over 25 years of experience delivering complex software solutions across fintech, AI, retail, and travel-tech industries. He has held senior leadership roles at UPayments, Afiniti, Boyner Group, Yolcu360, and other prominent organizations, where he led large-scale digital transformation programs and built high-performing engineering teams.

His core expertise includes microservices architecture, cloud-native platforms, AI integration, CI/CD automation, and enterprise system modernization. At UPayments, where he currently serves as Chief Technology Officer, Omer leads the company’s technology roadmap and digital innovation strategy, with a focus on scalable payment infrastructure, data architecture, and regulatory compliance in the MENA region.

Omer is deeply involved in building secure, modular, and future-proof platforms. His recent initiatives include decomposing monolithic systems into domain-specific databases and services to enhance system performance, agility, and business alignment.

He holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from Galatasaray University and a Master’s in Software & Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Finance and Banking. Omer is fluent in English and French and is currently based in Kuwait.
