Meslum AlKindi is an accomplished IT leader currently serving as the Area IT Director for IHG Oman Hotels, overseeing technology operations across 10 hotels representing globally recognized brands, including InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, voco, Hotel Indigo, and Six Senses. In this role, he leads a distributed team of IT professionals, with two IT staff members in each hotel reporting under his direction. With a strong focus on digital transformation and operational excellence, Meslum ensures alignment between business objectives and technology initiatives. He maintains close communication with hotel leadership by providing weekly IT reports to all General Managers, keeping them informed of departmental performance, strategic goals, project progress, and upcoming activities. Among his notable achievements, Meslum has successfully migrated 45% of hotel applications to cloud platforms, significantly improving scalability and efficiency. He also led the full migration of the HR solution platform from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud across all managed hotels. Additionally, he is coordinating with vendors to implement e-invoicing solutions and is currently preparing a major initiative to migrate the Opera Property Management System (PMS) to the cloud across all hotels by end of 2027, strengthening the region’s future-ready hospitality technology landscape.
