Kamal Khafagy is a technology leader with over 25 years of experience in Information Technology, Management Consulting, Business and Digital Transformation, Fintech, IT Strategy, ERP Implementation and Business Process Improvement in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. He has helped businesses optimize their performance, digitize their operations and reduce costs in different sectors spanning across Telecom, FMCG, Retail, Construction and Automotive in both governmental and private sectors.

Kamal is currently the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) at GB Corp, a local and regional powerhouse capitalizing on market opportunities to provide integrated mobility solutions. The Group houses several brands that offer mobility products and services with the target of empowering mobility and community wellbeing, including GB Auto, GB Capital, GB Logistics, GB Academy, GB Ventures and the Ghabbour Foundation for Development. 

He is also the Managing Director of GB Tech, a start-up company under the GB Corp group, specialized in providing IT solutions to external companies, spinning off from GB Corp’s in-house developed IT capabilities.

Kamal has pursued a rapidly ascending career in the Information Technology business in Egypt since 1994 leading to consultancy roles in leading IT organizations in KSA and France, including the position of Senior Manager Consulting, Advisory in KMPG UK & Riyadh from 2007 to 2015.

While in KMPG, Kamal has worked on mega projects in KSA and France driving organizational digitization and process improvement in leading companies including Saudi Telecom Company, Saudi Oger, SABIC, Oger International in France, and many others.

Kamal returned to Egypt in 2015 in the role of Senior VP, IT Business Solutions, at GB Corp during which he has been responsible for business process reengineering and leading the transformation of the organization to seamless operations by providing business solutions conformed to best practices.

Since 2021, Kamal has been the CITO at GB Corp leading the IT team where he has succeeded in implementing a revamped digital transformation and automation strategy and IT infrastructure leading to increased business efficiency and reduced business risks.
