Engr. Tardio currently serves as the Division Chief of the National Computer Emergency Response Team while concurrently fulfilling his duties as the Officer-inCharge of the Cybersecurity Bureau. Professional Electronics Engineer (PECE) holding a Master's Degree in Information Management and an alumnus of the University of the East, Philippines. A holder of a Graduate Certificate Course in Corruption Prevention (GCCCP) from the Development Academy of the Philippines, as well as a Certified Ethical Hacker, he has attended various cybersecurity training sessions both locally and abroad. He was awarded as one of the most outstanding ECEs in 2010 in the field of telecommunications. Engr. Tardio is a former Board Director of the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines - Manila Chapter and the founding President of the Philippine Association of Government ECEs Inc. (PAGE). With more than twenty-five (25) years of professional work experience in the field of ICT and cybersecurity, he possesses in-depth knowledge of public telecommunications and cybersecurity project planning, implementation, and operation. He formerly headed the National ICT Planning Division of the DICT, where he was responsible for formulating various national ICT plans, including the National Broadband Plan (NBP), National ICT Development Plan, Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting Migration Plan, and eGovernment Masterplan.
