Emem Umoh, MSc, CISSP, CDPSE, CCISO, is a distinguished Information Security and Privacy expert with extensive experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). Currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer and Data Protection Supervisor at Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited, Emem spearheads cybersecurity strategies, compliance programs, and privacy management systems. His expertise spans numerous international standards and frameworks, including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, PCI DSS, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and the Ghana Cybersecurity and Data Protection Acts.

Throughout his tenure at Zenith Bank, Emem has notably established the Information Security Department, a Security Operations Center (SOC), and an Incident Response Team, significantly enhancing the bank’s cybersecurity posture. His leadership facilitated successful ISO certifications and PCI DSS compliance, reducing risks and strengthening organizational resilience.

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Emem actively contributes to the cybersecurity community as Head of the Security Group Wing at the Institute of ICT Professionals of Ghana and Vice President of the CIOs and CISOs of Banks in Ghana. Recognized for his contributions, Emem has received multiple prestigious awards, including the CISO of the Year and The World CIO 200 LEGEND Award.
