Anton Mauricio was the former DTI Undersecretary and National Development Company (NDC) General Manager from October 2022 to November 2024. He founded the Philippine Innovation Hub and chaired the Philippine government's sovereign wealth fund (the Startup Venture Fund) under the NDC during this period. 

For his accomplishments in government, Usec. Anton was awarded as the Asian Hero for Innovation & Sustainability at the 2024 Asian Hero Awards. He was also awarded as the Man of the Year for Innovation at the 2024 Asia Leaders Awards. He was cited in the Esquire Trailblazers List 2024 as one of the Movers and Shakers in the Philippine Startup Ecosystem. 

He is now the Chairman of both InnovationASIA and InnovationPH, a country-to-country ecosystem builder helping organizations turn local to global in the areas of digital transformation and innovation management. 

He co-founded the Global AI Council Philippines in March 2024, where he now sits as Trustee and Treasurer. He is the Chairman of the Digital Media Standards Coalition, an independent non-profit self-regulatory organization charged with convening efforts to combat fake news in social media and boost the fact-checking infrastructure. 

With over thirty-three (33) years of experience in investment, finance, and strategy, Anton was the country head for two global finance companies: the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) from London, and Thomson Ratings Philippines (now Fitch Ratings) from Hongkong, New York, and Canada. He was the director for business development with Mitchell Madison Group Global Management Consulting. Prior to this he was with Urban Bank, Jardine Land, and ICC Telecoms.  

As a banker, management consultant, and financial adviser, he covered a broad range of sectors including the capital markets, credit ratings, investment banking & stock brokerage, agriculture, engineering, ICT, property, and telecommunications. His shift into fintech and AI has led him to be the author of the Global AI Council PH's Philippine AI Report 2026, co-written by AWS, PWC, and InnovationPH. 

For 18 years he was the most active and most awarded member and was a long-time Director in the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines. He was also in the Boards of the Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and AIESEC Alumni International, elected as the first Asian board member in Porto, Portugal in 2015. His previous organizations include the Makati Business Club and the CIBI Foundation. 

He founded the Finance Education Center (FEdCenter) and its affiliates, the Finance Educators Association and the Junior Confederation of Finance Associations - Philippines, respectively the largest organizations of finance teachers and students in the country. He served as a lecturer on finance, accounting, human resources, business policy, and strategic management at the De La Salle University – Dasmarinas and Asia Pacific College. 

In Rotary, he was the Star Rotarian of the Year for 2021-2022. He founded the RCM Dualtech Scholarship Program (RDSP), and is currently a Board Member of the Rotary Club of Manila and the RCManila Foundation, where he is the Secretary for both entities, as well as the Director for Innovation & Sustainability. 

He was a pioneer in the first Executive Program in Digital Leadership at the Singapore Management University, and obtained his BS Business Administration degree from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. He has credits for his unfinished MS Computational Finance degree at DLSU GSB. He finished his elementary and high school education at the Ateneo de Manila.
