Arvind Kureeman is the Country Ambassador, Mauritius for The World CIO 200 Summit 2020

Global CIO Forum has announced that Arvind Kureeman will be the Country Ambassador, Mauritius, for The World CIO 200 Summit 2020. Arvind is an experienced IT professional with  a passion for new and innovative technologies. His career has taken him to various industries, where he has adapted his diverse knowledge to the specific needs of an organisation.

Currently, he is engaged as a Senior Analytics Manager at the International Economics Consulting, which is headquartered in Mauritius. The organisation delivers specialised strategic advisory services in the field of trade, investment and public policy, grounded in research underpinned by the latest techniques in quantitative analysis and economic modelling, as well as legal, regulatory and policy assessments.

Prior to this, Arvind was the Chief Information Office at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development in Mauritius. He has also been the System Engineer at Harel Mallac Technologies and an IT Manager at Hyvec Group, amongst various other roles in a career that spans almost 20 years. Arvind has done his B. Eng in Computer Science and Engineering, followed by a MSc in eBusiness, from the University of Mauritius. He is also a certified ethical hacker from the Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Commenting on the appointment, Arvind said, “I am delighted to be appointed as the country ambassador for Mauritius for the Global CIO Forum. The CIO community has very interesting ideas and we hope that the forum will help us progress in this field. We will work together towards better recognition and look forward to bringing positive change to the world.”

The Mauritius chapter of The World CIO 200 Summit 2020 will unfold on December 3. Nominations and registrations are now open for the Mauritius edition.

What’s new this year

The World CIO 200 Roadshow 2020 will offer a choice of over 10 certification courses for IT heads to hone their skills and get certified, while earning credentials. The event will host an array of training sessions and visitors will have the option to pick and participate in the ones that are most relevant to them.

Another interesting feature is the CIO 10 in 10, where a circle of 10 CIOs will gather in virtual rooms, chairing a topic and interacting with like-minded thinkers. And that is not all! This year, the Top 3 CIOs in each country will be honoured for projects that have been a turning point not only for their organisations, but stand as an exemplary case study and reference point for the entire sector.

About The CIO 200 Summit
