Dr. Sulaiman Al Hasani is a distinguished academic and engineer specializing in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He holds a B.Eng. (Hons) in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. His doctoral research advanced the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) through the development of accelerated imaging techniques using non-Fourier encoding in parallel compressive sensing and deep learning frameworks. Dr. Sulaiman furthered his academic credentials with a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK.

Throughout his career, Dr. Sulaiman has actively engaged in a number of collaborative projects, contributing to advancements at Monash Biomedical Imaging and the Monash Centre for Synchrotron Science in Australia. His international experience includes a research training with Siemens Healthcare in North Carolina, USA, and research collaborations with the University of Glasgow, Scotland.

Dr. Sulaiman began his teaching career at Monash University as a demonstrator and a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering. He later joined the Global College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) in Muscat, Oman, where he has served in various leadership roles, including Lecturer, Acting Head of the Department, and currently, Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs and Resources. In his current role, Dr. Sulaiman oversees academic strategy, program development, and resource management. His leadership has been instrumental in developing new interdisciplinary academic programs in the field of engineering and technology, and establishing systems to monitor educational resources. His efforts have significantly improved the quality, accessibility, and inclusivity of education at GCET.

Dr. Sulaiman research interests, journal and conference publications as well as delivered talks are in the fields of signal processing, compressive sensing, deep learning, and robotics. His dedication extends beyond technical expertise to include leadership in higher education, where he addresses crucial aspects of quality, practice-led, research informed education and institutional development.
